REHEARSAL SCHEDULE OCTOBER 16-20

Rehearsal Dress Code
It is important that you come to class ready for that day’s rehearsal. You will all be given a rehearsal schedule so you will know what is being worked on each day. Your job is to make sure you are ready. The following dress code rules apply to anyone on stage during rehearsal:
This year, we are going to the 1920’s. Every single person contributes talent into a cohesive experience that will eventually become a great performance, and in order to achieve this, we must work as one body, mind, and soul. How does this relate to the dress code? When everyone is dressed similarly by a set of rules, it’s like a symbol of unity. No one is better or more talented inwardly or outwardly. In addition to this, it makes it easier for you to move on stage if you have the correct clothing and shoes.
*These rules apply to every time you are in theatre, including rehearsals after school.

- Crack is Whack! Any kind of body crack (i.e. cleavage, bums), we do not want to see.
- Dance shoes must be worn anytime onstage, ESPECIALLY when you’re dancing. If you do not have dance shoes, wear appropriate shoes (i.e. sneakers, tennis shoes). NO flip flops, boots, sandals, heels, slippers, or bare feet.
- In order to dance on stage, you must be in the proper clothing. This includes shorts, stretch pants, or other unrestrictive clothing that allow you to move properly. NO jeans. Not participating on stage will negatively impact your grade.
- Bring water or a refillable water bottle. We have water refill stations in the auditorium. No sodas! Gatorade is fine. Water is the ultimate energy booster. Your body is made of mostly water, so depriving it of H20 will only dehydrate you and make you weak. We do not want weak. We need strength on this stage.
- If you know what your character will be wearing (i.e. a skirt/dress) try to bring clothes similar so you can get used to wearing it onstage, especially if you have to dance in them.
